"WHY" the reason why is Microsoft Obsoleted old outdated software. If the machine does not have all the latest prerequisites for this old game to run on windows ten? it will never run.
FALLOUT 3 NEXUS REDESIGNED SOFTWARE
Then download the mandatory xlive for windows market place software package.
FALLOUT 3 NEXUS REDESIGNED INSTALL
Use and run the application meant for this game on your system and install the fake live dll. In my signature here, there are explicate links to Just fallout 3 tools. "the xlive.dll" is too large, that tells me it's the wrong software. #1, no the game will not run, you have not installed the software required for that hardware or the game to run on that hardware. That pic shows a great deal of information.

Xlive.dll, d3d9.dll, FOSE, and all of the mods in the image below. In the Fallout.ini, I have bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=2. Also the default launcher only detects my actual GPU. When I remove the d3d9.dll from the folder, the game opens, but I can't start a new game or it crashes. All it does is it opens a cmd and closes infinitely and the only way to stop it is by opening it again and waiting for it to give an error message. When I add the files, the ini works fine, but when I add the d3d9.dll to the main folder, the game doesn't open. These videos helped me immensely in getting my game modded and running smoothly (navigate to the Fallout 3: Tutorials playlist).I have an Intel Integrated GPU so I have to use the fix listed here in order to be able to start a new game on Fallout 3.

He is a mod author himself and is very knowlegable. I recommend checking out Gopher's videos on modding Fallout 3. Mod is balanced by taking into account your explosives skill, luck stat, and ranks of the "Demolition Expert" perk: The higher the rank in the perk, the bigger and better the robot companion: īusworld - adds interiors to the buses, subway cars, boxcars, and monorail cars found all around the Capital Wasteland: Įxplosive Entry - use explosives to open locked doors and containers. RobCo Certified - adds a three-rank perk that will allow you to repair robots you have defeated and then recruit them as followers. Includes much additional dialogue recorded by original voice actor Karen Carbone specifically for the mod (which is pretty damned cool): Sydney Follower - Make Sydney (from the quest Stealing Independence) a follower. This makes night time very dark and very creepy (though this can be mitigated with add-ons if the darkness is too much for you): Marts Mutant Mod - More (and more varied) creatures and monsters, some drawn from Fallout 1 & 2: įellout - a lighting mod that will remove the green tint that exists everywhere in Fallout 3, exteriors and interiors. RACE - Custom radio station that you can program with your own music collection: All music is public domain - no copyright issues: Three-Dog will still make all his usual announcements. This mod increases the track listing to 120 and includes several Vault-Tek adverts as well. GNR Enhanced - Galaxy News Radio is awesome but there are only 20 tracks and after a relatively short time you will grow weary of having it on. You will find your self going for your energy weapons more often with this installed: New flashes, new animations, new critical kills and lots of bright, pretty colours.

NMC's Texture Pack - Hi Res Texture replacements (truly awesome, but requires some PC horsepower): Įnergy Visuals Enhanced - An overhaul for all energy weapon visuals. Changes are very numerous - check the mod description for details: ĭC Interiors Project - Add interiors to over one hundred buildings and houses that have no vanilla interior: įallout 3 Redesigned - This mod redesigns the facial structure of NPCs to give them a more natural appearance, while preserving their character: Running in a window provides greater stability, and with a game as crash prone as FO3 is, this is a boon: ĭarnifiedUI - This replaces the native, console-centric UI with one better suited to a PC display: įallout Wanderer's Edition - An overhaul of the Fallout 3 mechanics and features with an eye to increasing the challenge of the game. This will allow the executable to address 4GB of RAM: įake Fullscreen Mode Windowed - This will render your game in a window instead of fullscreen, then remove the borders so that it appears indistinguishable from fullscreen. Large Address Aware Enabler - the Fallout 3 executable is flagged to only address 2GB of RAM regardless of how much RAM your system has. Nexus Mod Manager - A package manager that makes installing, uninstalling and managing your mods much easier. Some of these are utilities, some gameplay, some graphics:

Hope you find something of interest here. This gets asked a lot and I have posted responses a number of times, so please forgive this cut-and-paste work from my previous posts on mod recommendations.
